Artificial cerebrospinal fluid (aCSF) is a biological buffer that enables a vital environment for neuronal tissue by maintaining the homeostasis, osmolarity, and pH at physiological levels. ACSF is commonly used for many lab experiments including in vitro and in vivo applications.

Instructions for use:
For 1000 ml ACSF Solution:
1. Pour 50 ml Base A (20x) into a flask and add 900 ml deionized water
2. Add slowly 50 ml Base B (20x)
3. Oxygenate ACSF Solution during use
pH 7.4 when oxygenated with 95% O2, 5% CO2 (Carbogene)
Use immediately once opened. Store at 4 - 8 °C
Ional composition of ACSF Solution (Base A + Base B)
NaCl = 125 mM
KCl = 3 mM
CaCl2 = 2.5 mM
MgSO4 = 1.3 mM
NaH2PO4 = 1.25 mM
NaHCO3 = 26 mM
Glucose = 13 mM
